youth

At Providence, we believe in a family-equipping model of ministry, in conrast both to one in which adults and youth do everything together, and also in contrast to one in which youth do everything alone.

This means that we encourage families with young children to bring them into services with them, and we encourage parents to take up the primary responsibility for educating their youth in the faith (& equip them to do it).

But, it also means that we recognize sometimes close proximity does not always equate to spiritual fruitfulness, which is why we recognize the need for youth to have opportunities to socialize, learn ,and apply truths of the faith with one another.

While our group of youth grows, we try to provide that opportunity for them in the context of small groups just for them, mentored by adults, and which meet twice per month. Other, larger gatherings are scheduled periodically.
